Saphira Rekker – Co-Founder

Saphira co-founded ARTEH since its very beginning, acting initially as the coach for EARTH Inc. (ARTEH’s previous name) in the start-up postgraduate Global Business Challenge 2019. The team took home 2nd prize amongst over 600 applicants. Saphira’s research is in Sustainable Finance and focuses on developing methods to measure corporate impact on meeting science-based planetary limits (climate goals in particular) and how these methods can be integrated into financial decision-making. She holds a PhD in Climate Finance at the University of Queensland and is the author of several prestigious (peer reviewed) climate risk models. Her presence in the team brings the scientific credentials for ARTEH providing state-of-the-art methodologies that are reflected in its algorithms.
